Honestly, don’t we all have relatives we would not even be friends with if we had been given a choice?

It’s no secret that a family always expects allegiance and loyalty from its members, after all, they are a group of people connected by blood. But is that blood tie always enough?

You see, I have experienced kindness and loyalty from friends, the kind that I sometimes do not get from some who are family. But I have also experienced the love and stability that only family can sometimes provide.

Honestly, don’t we all have relatives we would not even be friends with if we had been given a choice? I know I do, and many names come to mind even as I write this.

So, should that blood tie always supersede other bonds? Or should it be a question of who has shown more kindness and loyalty?
