How Do You Know When You Are In Love?

Like many people, I know how it feels to be in love, but is there a better way to explain that feeling.

How Do You Know When You Are In Love?

A friend asked me this question once. Although I gave her the classic textbook answer of how you would always want to spend time with them, how you find yourself thinking about them all the time, and even threw in the ‘butterflies in your stomach’ analogy, she still had questions.

Her: But you enjoy spending time with your friends too. Are you saying you are in love with them?

Me: Are you sexually attracted to your friends? That’s the difference.

Her: You do know you can be sexually attracted to someone and not be in love with them, right?

Me (having had enough): You will sha know, don’t stress me.

That conversation got me thinking. Like many people, I know how it feels to be in love, but is there a better way to explain that feeling.

Does anyone know? Or at least have an idea of how to put that feeling into words?

Please share your thoughts with me below in the comment section.
