Trust is Earned! But Is it not Also Given?

Trust is Earned! But Is it not Also Given?

Trusting someone is a big deal. To trust another is to be comfortable enough to show them all of you; your strength, your weakness and your scars. Simply put, to trust is to allow yourself to be vulnerable.

Trust is earned. But no matter how much someone shows you, ‘I’m here for you,’ the ball is always in your court to stretch your hands to say ‘This is me, all of me,’

I think we often worry about betrayal so much that we lose out on the bliss and ease that can come with trusting another.

It is true, betrayal can happen, but it also may not. So, isn’t it best to despite the possibility of betrayal, trust whoever has earned it and instead worry about still maintaining a sense of sufficiency that will help you survive a betrayal if it ever happens?
