Would you cover up for a cheating friend?

I often wonder what I would do if my friend cheats on her (his) partner and then ask me to be her (his) alibi. She wants me to tell 'boo' that she (he) was with me, while she (he) goes off to eat the forbidden fruit.

Well, my answer has always been a big NEVER, but I’ve also assured myself that I don’t have such friends.

But what if my BFF turns to a lying cheat?

To be honest, I think it’s a whole different ballgame to find out a friend is cheating on her boo and shut up and mind my damn business, but it’s on a whole different level if she drags me into her bullshit and asks me to lie for her. It’s just unfair.

First, I’m not even an accomplished liar. Second, my normally overactive conscience will kill me. Third, am I the only one who thinks a good friend shouldn’t even put me in that position?

But would you do it? Cover up and lie for a cheating friend?
