“Phase 2?” I repeated, laughing. “Never put your eggs in one basket huh? I see why you are a successful businessman,” I grinned at him. “So what’s phase 2?”
Anyway, it turns out ‘beautiful man’ was married. But what’s more important is how quickly that important fact quenched the fiery attraction.
“What good will it do Lolu?” I asked, sounding as exhausted as I feel. “Your parents already formed an opinion about my mum and by extension, me, without meeting us or knowing us. I just don’t know how to begin to undo that,”
Yet, I can’t help but wonder if the obsession of these women to be called kings isn’t based on the premise that a queen is always lesser than a king?
